GREEK EASTER COOKIES 
1 c. butter
1/3 c. granulated sugar
2 egg yolks
1/2 tsp. brandy flavoring (if desired)
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
confectioners sugar

Heat oven to 350°F. Mix the butter, sugar, egg yolks, brandy and vanilla together thoroughly. Measure flour by sifting. Blend flour and baking powder. Stir into butter mixture; mix well. Shape dough in small balls about 3/4-inch in diameter. Place cookies on a lightly greased baking sheet.

Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until cookies are set, but not browned. Let stand 2 minutes before removing from cookie sheet. When cool, dust with confectioners sugar and place a whole clove in center of each cookie.

Makes 8 dozen.
