Combine ingredients, dress with olive ... edible flowers include Redbud blossoms, pansies, and nasturtiums, but I prefer violets for this salad.

Layer ingredients in bowl in order as above. Do not stir. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Will keep in refrigerator 2 or 3 days.
