1 lb. butter
1 lb. powdered sugar (XXX)
4 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
7 c. flour

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter and add sugar very slowly. Add eggs one at a time beating after each one. Add baking soda and vanilla. Add flour slowly. Beat with a mixer until too hard then continue mixing by hand. Roll dough out 1/4 inch thick and use cookie cutter to cut out cookies. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet for 8-10 minutes.
