JADE FRUITS WITH RUM ICE CREAM | |
2 crisp eating apples 2 tbsp. lemon juice 4 ripe kiwi fruits 2 tbsp. sugar 2 pts. vanilla ice cream 2 tbsp. light rum Peel apples, cut into match stick size strips and sprinkle with lemon juice. Peel and slice kiwi fruit, combine with apples and sprinkle with sugar. Chill until serving time. Meanwhile, place ice cream in a bowl and allow to soften slightly at room temperature. Quickly stir rum through ice cream. Freeze until firm. Serve fruit in pretty bowls, topped with scoops or squares of ice cream. Serves 4. |
