STAY SOFT SUGAR COOKIES 
2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
4 eggs
1 c. milk
1 tsp. baking soda
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour

Cream together sugar, shortening, eggs and milk. Add baking soda, baking powder and vanilla; mix well. Add flour, 1 cup at a time, until mixed very well. Drop on cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees until edges are golden brown. Makes 4 dozen cookies.
