SWEDISH OYSTER STEW 
1 pt. oysters, fresh
2 c. scalded milk or cream
1/2 c. water
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
Paprika

Strain oysters, discarding any shell bits, reserving liquor. Put liquor and oysters in saucepan. Add butter and cook slowly until edges of oysters curl (3 to 5 minutes). Add milk or cream and water. Sprinkle with paprika. Serves 4. Serve immediately while hot.
