2 1/2 c. sugar
2/3 c. white Karo syrup
1 c. milk
2 1/2 c. raw peanuts
4 tbsp. butter (oleo)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar (unsifted)
14 drops red food coloring

Cook sugar, Karo, milk and peanuts to soft ball stage. Remove from heat. Add rest of ingredients and beat until good and thick. Drop on waxed paper and patties will form. Wrap separately when cool. Best on a dry day.
