SPICED PECANS 
1 egg
2 tbsp. water
2 c. (1/2 lb.) pecan halves
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg

Beat egg and water with a fork in medium sized bowl until well blended. Stir in pecans; mix until coated. Strain nuts to remove excess moisture. Wipe bowl dry with paper towel. Mix sugar and spices in a small bowl. Sprinkle over nuts until thoroughly coated. Spread nuts on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in 300 degree oven for 25 minutes or until golden. Stir several times to avoid burning.
