REALLY GOOD GREEN BEANS 
2 cans French-cut green beans
10 strips bacon
6 tbsp. vinegar
6 tbsp. sugar
4 oz. slivered almonds
1 medium onion

Fry bacon and save the grease. Cut onion into rings. Add vinegar and sugar to the bacon grease. Layer as follows, pouring the grease/vinegar/sugar mixture over each layer: green beans, almonds, bacon (crumbled) and then onion rings. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Bake at 350°F, covered, for 45 minutes.
