CORN BREAD RING 
1 c. cornmeal
1 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tsp. baking powder
1 egg
1 c. tomato juice
1/4 c. Mazola oil
1 c. grated sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 c. green peppers, diced

Heat oven to 425 degrees. Mix and sift meal, flour, salt and baking powder; add egg, tomato juice and shortening. Beat with rotary beater until smooth, about 1 minute. Lightly stir in cheese and green peppers. Spoon into greased 5 cup ring mold. Bake 20 to 25 minutes. (This ring may be used with creamed tuna.)
