MICROWAVE BRITTLE 
1 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 c. white syrup
Cashews, pecans, English walnuts, black walnuts (your choice)

Use 2 quart glass measuring cup. Combine sugar, salt and syrup and cook on high for 2 minutes. Stir and cook on high for 5 minutes. Add 1 teaspoon butter and 1 teaspoon vanilla and cook on high for 2 minutes. Add nuts of your choice and mix well. Pour out on well buttered cookie sheet. Spread thin. Cool and break in pieces.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
