LINGUINE WITH MARINARA SAUCE 
1/4 c. olive oil
3 cloves garlic, chopped
1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes, chopped
2 oz. red wine
2 oz. water
1 tsp. sugar
1/8 tsp. black pepper
1/8 tsp. hot pepper
1/4 tsp. oregano
1 lb. linguine pasta

Use a 2 quart pot or saucepan. Put in olive oil and garlic. Lightly brown the garlic over medium heat. Add the tomatoes, wine, water, and sugar. Stir well. Add black pepper, hot pepper, and oregano. Heat to boil, stirring frequently. Reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes. Cook the linguine as the sauce cooks. Pour sauce over pasta and serve. Makes 4 servings.
