(or less) milk YOU ALSO NEED: Table knife Measuring spoons Rolling pin or clean soft drink bottle 2 sheets plastic wrap, each about 6x12" Small mixing bowl Mixing spoon 2 sm. plates Make sure your bread is fresh and soft so that when you roll it, it will flatten out. Cut off the crusts of the 2 pieces of bread. Use the rolling pin or bottle to roll the pieces of bread so that they are very flat. Spread about 1/2 teaspoon of peanut butter over half of one piece of bread. Repeat for the other piece of bread. Spread about 1/2 teaspoon of jam over the other half of one piece of bread. Repeat for the other piece of bread. Cut the cherries in half. Put 4 cherry halves in a line along one edge of bread on the jam-covered half. Repeat for the other piece. Beginning at the end where the cherry halves are lined up, roll up the bread. Roll it tight. You should have a small "log". Repeat for the other piece of bread. Roll each log in a piece of plastic wrap. Twist the ends so that the log stays tightly rolled. Put the logs in the refrigerator while you make the frosting. |
