CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER CHEWIES 
1 (12 oz.) pkg. (2 c.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. butter, softened
1 c. sugar
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 (12 oz.) pkg. peanut butter morsels
1/2-1 c. mini semi-sweet morsels, optional

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt over hot (not boiling) water the semi-sweet morsels; stir until smooth. Remove from heat; set aside.

In small bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt; set aside. In a large bowl, combine butter and sugars, beat until creamy. Add eggs and melted morsels; mix well. Gradually add flour mixture. Stir in peanut butter morsels and mini chips.

Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Allow to stand 2 minutes before removing from cookie sheets; cool completely. Makes 5-6 dozen.
