COOKIES 
1/4 lb. soft butter
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 c. granulated sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. each salt & baking soda
1/2 c. each granola & carob or chocolate-covered raisins

Cream butter and sugars until fluffy; beat in egg and vanilla. Mix flour, salt and soda. Gradually, blend into creamed mixture. Stir in granola and raisins. Drop by heaping teaspoons into greased or non-stick baking sheets.

Bake at 375 degrees until golden brown 10 to 12 minutes. Let stand a few minutes on baking sheets before removing to wire racks to complete cooling.
