RED BEANS AND RICE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 tbsp. chili powder
1/2 c. bell pepper, chopped
Dash of black pepper
1 c. raw rice
2 tsp. salt
1 lg. onion
1 can tomatoes
1 c. water
1 c. kidney beans

Brown meat, add onion, green pepper. Cook until transparent, stirring constantly. Add tomatoes, water, salt, chili powder, and black pepper. Simmer 10 minutes. Remove from fire. Add raw rice and beans. Pour in buttered dish, top with sliced sausage, cover with foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Stir slightly once and bake uncovered for 1/2 hour longer.
