RUM CAKE | |
1/2 c. chopped pecans 1 box butter recipe yellow cake mix 1 sm. box vanilla instant pudding 1/2 c. water 1/2 c. rum (light or dark as desired) 1/2 c. vegetable oil 4 eggs 1/4 c. rum (light or dark as desired) 1/4 c. water 1 stick butter 1 c. sugar Grease and flour bundt pan or tube pan. Crumble nuts in bottom of pan. Mix remaining ingredients with mixer for 2 minutes. Pour into pan. Bake in preheated 325 degree oven for 50 to 60 minutes. Meanwhile, mix rum, water, butter, and sugar in small saucepan; heat and boil 2 to 3 minutes. Pour glaze over cake immediately after removing from oven. This will cause cake to settle. Let cake set for 30 minutes. Remove to plate. |
