ROCK SPRINGS ROLLED COOKIES 
1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/4 c. sour cream
3 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt

Yields 6 dozen.

Whip butter and sugar until creamy. Stir in egg and sour cream; mix well. Sift dry ingredients together and add to mixture. Chill AT LEAST 2 HOURS (overnight is best - or make ahead and freeze). Roll out dough in small amounts. Cut into shapes. Bake at 350 degrees in preheated oven for 8-10 minutes. Let cool and frost if desired.
