CHOCOLATE TOFFEE SQUARES 
1 c. butter
1 c. packed light brown sugar
1 egg yolk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
3/4 c. chopped pecans or walnuts

Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg yolk, vanilla and salt. Beat in flour just until combined. Spread in greased 9x13x2 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.

Sprinkle chocolate chips over hot cookie layer; spread when melted. Sprinkle with nuts. When cool, cut into bars.
