3 c. sugar
1 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
5 eggs
3 c. flour
1 c. Sprite
2 tbsp. lemon extract

Cream together sugar, butter and shortening; add eggs, one at a time, beating after each one. Add flour and Sprite alternately. Add extract. Bake in tube or Bundt pan 1 hour and 20 minutes. Allow cake to cool 10 minutes before taking out of pan.
