STUFFED GREEN PEPPERS 
6 med. green peppers
1 tbsp. fat
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. packaged precooked rice
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 c. shredded sharp processed American cheese
2 c. stewed tomatoes
Salt and pepper
1 lg. onion

Cut off tops of green peppers. Remove seeds and membranes. Precook pepper cups in boiling salted water for about 5 minutes. Drain, sprinkle a little salt inside peppers. Brown meat and onions in hot fat. Then add tomatoes and rice. Also, add Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Cover and simmer for about 5 minutes until rice is almost tender. Add cheese. Stuff peppers and stand them upright in a 10 x 6 inch baking dish. Bake uncovered in 350 degree moderate oven for 25 minutes. Sprinkle additional cheese over tops of peppers after baking.
