4 strips bacon
2 tsp. vinegar
2 tsp. water
2 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. bacon fat
1 egg
1 head lettuce
Leaf lettuce

Cut bacon in 1 inch pieces and brown. Remove from pan and drain. To bacon fat add vinegar, water and sugar and heat to boiling. Beat egg in bowl and stir into hot mixture slowly. Pour over lettuce. Sprinkle bacon bits on lettuce.
