GOLDEN CHEDDAR BISCUITS 
1/4 c. shortening
1 tbsp. sugar
1 c. all-purpose flour
2 tbsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 egg
1/3 c. milk
1 c. grated Cheddar cheese

Cream shortening and sugar. Mix dry ingredients together; add to shortening and sugar mixture. Blend in egg, milk and cheese. Divide mixture equally into a greased muffin (12 cup or two 6-cup) pan.

Bake at 400°F for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
