3/4 c. butter 1 c. creamy peanut butter 1 1/2 c. firmly packed light brown sugar 2 eggs 1/4 c. milk 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla 3 c. flour 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt M & M's candies (plain or peanut) Coarse decorators' sugar (if desired) Beat together butter, peanut butter, and sugar until light and fluffy; blend in eggs, milk, and vanilla. Add combined flour, baking powder, and salt; mix well. Divide dough into quarters; wrap each portion of dough in plastic wrap. Chill several hours. Roll out each portion on large, lightly floured cookie sheet to 1/8 inch thickness. Place hand on dough; trace with thin-bladed knife, repeating as space allows. Remove excess dough; reserve. Repeat with remaining portions of dough; reroll excess dough. Decorate by pressing candies into dough for fingernails, rings, bracelets or cuffs; sprinkle with sugar, if desired. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are light golden brown. Carefully remove to wire rack to cool. Makes about two dozen four to five inch cookies. |
