BAKED ZITI 
6 c. (16 oz.) cut ziti, uncooked
5 1/2 c. (48 oz. jar) spaghetti sauce
1 1/2 to 2 lbs. ground beef
Chopped onion, green pepper, celery, clove of garlic
3 c. (12 oz.) shredded Mozzarella cheese
1 egg, slightly beaten
Oregano & basil, to taste
Salt & pepper, to taste
Grated Parmesan cheese

Cook cut ziti according to package directions for 10 minutes, drain. Brown ground beef, onion, green pepper, celery and garlic; drain. In large bowl combine cooked ziti, 3 1/2 cups spaghetti sauce, ground beef mixture, 2 cups Mozzarella cheese, egg and seasonings.

In 13 x 9 inch dish spread spaghetti sauce just enough to cover bottom of dish; spread ziti mixture evenly over sauce. Top with remaining spaghetti sauce; sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake covered at 375 degrees for 45 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Uncover and sprinkle remaining cup of Mozzarella cheese on top. Bake until cheese melts. Serve accompanied with salad and hot French bread. Makes about 8 servings.
