COCOA KISS COOKIES 
1 c. butter, softened
2/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 2/3 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 c. cocoa
1 c. finely chopped pecans
54 chocolate kisses (9 oz. pkg.), unwrapped
Powdered sugar

Cream butter, sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy. Combine flour and cocoa; blend into creamed mixture. Add pecans; beat until well blended. Chill dough one hour or until firm enough to handle. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Mold scant tablespoon of dough around each candy, covering candy completely. Shape into balls; place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until almost set; cool slightly and remove. Cool completely. Roll in powdered sugar. Makes 4 1/2 dozen.
