BUTTER BEAN STEW 
1 lb. dried beans
1 tbsp. paprika
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1 tomato, chopped
2 carrots, chopped
1 tsp. black pepper
1 laurel leaf
2 tbsp. parsley, chopped
1 piece bacon
3 tbsp. oil

Soak beans overnight. Next day put beans in saucepan with double quantity of water and all ingredients. Cook. When nearly ready add salt.
