TAMALES PIE | |
1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef 1/2 c. med. salsa 1 pkg. taco seasoning 1 med. onion, chopped 2 cans Hormel tamales 8 oz. Cheddar cheese, shredded 8 oz. Monterey Jack cheese, shredded 1 (16 oz.) can refried beans Saute onion. Add ground beef, add taco seasoning, cook 5 minutes. Layer in casserole as follows: half of ground beef mixture, refried beans, tamales, salsa, 4 oz. Cheddar cheese and 4 oz. Monterey Jack cheese, balance of ground beef, the rest of the Cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese. Bake at 325 degrees for 40 minutes. |
