SAUSAGE - BEEF CASSEROLE | |
6 sweet sausage 1 lb. beef chuck in 1 inch cubes 1 lg. onion, sliced 2 med. peppers, cut 4 med. potatoes, quartered 2 cans kidney beans (optional), drained 1 tsp. basil 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 2 beef bouillon, dissolved in 1 c. boiling water Cut sausage into thirds and brown. Put in 3 quart casserole dish. Brown beef cubes and put in casserole. Cook onion until tender. Add peppers and cook 1 minute. Put in casserole. Add spuds and beans to casserole. Sprinkle with seasonings. Add bouillon and water. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/4 hours. Serve with crusty bread and salad. |
