TOMATO PUDDING 
2 (10 oz. each) cans tomato puree or sauce
1/2 c. boiling water
2 c. brown sugar
1 c. melted butter
12 slice bread cut in squares
1/2 tsp. salt

Add sugar, salt, and water to puree and boil for 5 minutes. Place bread squares in casserole dish. Pour over melted butter. Add hot puree mixture. Bake covered for 30 minutes at 375 degrees. Uncover and bake 10 more minutes.
