JOHN WAYNE'S FAVORITE CHILE
CHEESE CASSEROLE
 
1 lb. cheddar cheese
1 lb. jack cheese
2 cans diced chilies or more (I use 3)
4 eggs
1 med. size can stewed tomatoes, drained

Butter a deep casserole. Make layers of cheese and chilies. Separate eggs. Beat whites until stiff. Beat yolks. Fold into whites. Pour gently over cheese and chilies. Bake 325 degrees for 30 minutes. Add drained tomatoes. Pushing down with a fork. Bake 30 minutes more. Let stand 10 or 15 minutes and serve.
