HOMEMADE EASTER EGG DYES

Vinegar

ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:

Red cabbage leaves - Robin's egg blue
Orange peels - very tender yellow
Carrot tops - smokey yellow-green
Yellow Delicious apple peelings - delicate lavender flecked with soft rust
Onion skins - handsome orange
Spinach - pinkish with gray/gold buffs

Place eggs in water to cover with 1 teaspoon vinegar and your chosen dye material. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer gently 20 minutes.
