6 tbsp. cornmeal, plain
2 1/2 tbsp. plain flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1 egg
1 sm. onion, chopped
1 tbsp. catsup
1/4 c. grated cheese
Enough buttermilk to make soft batter

Sift together dry ingredients. Mix well and fry in deep fat.
