FRESH APPLE CAKE 
4 fresh apples, chopped
2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. cooking oil
Add 3 eggs, 1 at a time
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. fig preserves or pear preserves rolled in flour
1/2 c. chopped nuts, mixed with little flour

Bake 1 hour at 325 degrees.
