SURPRISE BROWNIES 
1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
1 c. chopped nuts
1 stick butter, melted
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1 pkg. milk chocolate chips
25 caramels
1/3 c. evaporated milk

Mix together cake mix, butter and 1/2 cup evaporated milk. Press half of the mixture into greased 9x13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 4 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips on top.

Melt caramels in 1/3 cup evaporated milk and drizzle over chips. Sprinkle with remaining half of cake mixture and bake an additional 12 minutes. Cut while warm.
