DANISH PASTRY APPLE BARS | |
2 1/2 c. flour 1 tsp. salt 1 c. shortening 1 egg yolk, mix with milk to make 2/3 c. Mix together. Divide in half. Roll out to 17x12 inch rectangle. Place in 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1 inch baking pan. 1 c. corn flakes 8 c. sliced apples. 1 c. sugar Cinnamon Cover with 2nd rolled out crust. Cut slits in top. Brush with beaten egg white. Bake 50 minutes, 375 degrees. 1 c. powdered sugar 3-4 tsp. milk Drizzle on warm cookies. |
