STEAMED BROWN BREAD 
1 c. graham flour (whole wheat)
1 c. white flour
1 c. cornmeal
1 tsp. salttsp. baking soda
2/3 c. raisins
2/3 c. molasses
2 c. sour or buttermilk

Mix dry ingredients. Add molasses, milk and raisins. Pour into one greased 3 pound Crisco can or two smaller ones. Cover tightly. Put can into a kettle with about 3 inches of boiling water. Cover kettle and steam about 2 hours.
