STEAMED MOLASSES BREAD 
2 c. All-Bran cereal
2 c. whole wheat flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. raisins
1 egg
1 3/4 c. sour milk or buttermilk
1/2 c. dark molasses

In medium bowl, combine bran, flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda, and raisins. In another bowl, beat the egg; add sour milk and molasses. Blend in dry ingredients; do not overheat. Pour into greased and floured 8 cup mold or can. Cover with foil; tie. Place rack in slow cooking pot. Pour 2 cups hot water in pot. Place covered bread container on rack. Cover pot and cook on high for 3 to 4 hours. Turn bread out on cooling rack. Serve warm or cool.
