Mazola no stick cooking spray
1 1/4 c. flour
1/2 c. unsweetened cocoa
1/4 c. cornstarch
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 c. water
3 egg whites
1/2 c. Karo light or dark corn syrup
Confectioners' sugar (optional)

Spray a 9 inch square baking pan with cooking spray. In large bowl combine the next 6 ingredients. In a medium bowl stir sugar and water until sugar is dissolved. Add egg whites and corn syrup; stir until blended. Gradually add to dry ingredients, stirring until smooth. Pour into prepared pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack. If desired, sprinkle with confectioners' sugar. Makes 16 servings.
