GRANNY SMITH CARAMEL APPLE SALAD 
1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple (do not drain)
6 Granny Smith apples
8 oz. Cool Whip
3/4 c. crushed, dry roasted peanuts

Cook sugar, flour and pineapple on stove until thick. Let it cool. Peel and cut up apples into cubes. Pour cooled mixture over the apples. Fold in Cool Whip and nuts. Serve chilled.
