SUGARLESS COOKIES 
1/2 c. chopped dates
1/2 c. chopped apple
1 c. raisins
1 c. water
3/4 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. shortening
2 beaten eggs
3 tbsp. liquid sweetener
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. flour

Boil the dates, apple, raisins, and water for 3 minutes and then cool. Add the rest of the ingredients and refrigerate overnight. Drop by teaspoonful on to a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Fruit juice can be used instead of the liquid sweetener.
