CRACKER JACKS | |
2 c. brown sugar 1/2 lb. butter 1 c. white corn syrup 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. vanilla 2 gal. popcorn, popped 1 c. peanuts (optional) Pop 2 gallons popcorn and place in large roaster. Combine in saucepan brown sugar, butter and corn syrup; bring to boil and boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add soda and vanilla. Pour mixture over popcorn. Bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Pour out on wax paper. Break apart. Add peanuts if desired. Keep stored in tight container. |
