DAD'S FAVORITE STEAK SAUCE | |
1 tbsp. butter 1 medium onion, finely diced 2 garlic cloves, minced 2 cups ketchup 1/2 cup molasses (can sub with Maple Syrup) 1/2 cup apple cider 1/4 cup sugar 3/4 cup lager style beer 1 tbsp. yellow mustard 2 tbsp. lemon juice 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 tbsp. cayenne pepper (can sub with hot sauce, to taste) 1 tbsp. paprika In a medium saucepan - over medium heat - melt butter. Add onion and garlic and sauté for 3 minutes - until softened. Add rest of ingredients: bring to a boil and simmer until sauce is reduced to about 2 cups (takes about 30 minutes).
