SWEET AND SOUR MEATBALLS
2 (1 lb.) pkg. ground turkey or 2 (1 lb.) hamburger meat if you prefer
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1 (16 oz.) jellied cranberry sauce
2 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. lemon juice (depends upon how sweet or tart you like it)

While cranberry sauce is melting in a big pot, add the tomato sauce, brown sugar and lemon juice. Stir often to make sure all ingredients are well blended.

Meanwhile prepare the ground turkey or hamburger meat as you would for meatballs.

When the liquid mixture is well blended and sort of bubbling, make small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter and carefully drop them into the pot of cranberry sauce mixture. Let boil for approximately 20 minutes before you stir through. This lets the meatballs set. Thereafter, you can stir through pretty often if you desire.

These can be served as a side dish for a buffet or if regular size meatballs are made, serve on a bed of white rice or plain 1/2 inch wide boiled noodles.
