4-5 slices bacon
1 egg
1/4 c. sugar
3/4 to 1 c. vinegar
Dash of salt

Fry bacon until crisp. Reserve 1/4 cup grease in pan. Crumble bacon over salad. Mix egg, sugar, vinegar, and salt. Add to hot grease. Stir constantly until thick and bubbling. Pour hot over salad. Toss until well coated.

SALAD:

Leaf lettuce
Spring onions, diced
Fresh spinach leaves
Tomatoes, diced
Croutons
Almonds, slivered
Mandarin oranges

Toss all ingredients.
