GROUND BEEF CASSEROLE 
1/2 lb. ground beef
1 egg
1/2 onion
1 slice bread
Bread crumbs
1 can green beans
1/2 c. bean water
1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
1/2 c. instant rice
10 oz. frozen onion rings

Mix ground beef with egg, onion, bread, and bread crumbs as you do for meatloaf. Form a rind inside a 8x8x2 1/2-inch casserole dish with the meat mixture. In the middle place the drained green beans.

Mix the soup with the water and mushrooms. Pour over the beans. Put rice on top; push into soup. Evenly distribute the frozen onion rings on top. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Uncover and broil for a few minutes. Serve with tossed green salad and dinner rolls. Serves 4-5.
