1 c. soft butter
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. chopped apples
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. finely chopped nuts
1/2 c. chopped dates
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon

Cream butter, sugar, and vanilla. Beat eggs well and add to this mixture. Set aside. Mix together apples, raisins, nuts, and dates. Set aside. Sift together flour, salt, soda, and cinnamon. Add this to sugar mixture and mix well. Then add apple mixture. Do not beat, but stir until well mixed. Bake at 350 degrees in glass or 325 degrees in metal 9 x 13 inch pan for about 1 hour. Does not need icing.
