BAKED FUDGE CUSTARD 
Sm. amount of shortening to grease pan
4 eggs
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. cocoa
1 c. (2 sticks) butter
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts (any variety)

1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees and lightly grease 8-10 inch baking pan.

2. Break eggs into bowl and beat.

3. Measure sugar, flour and cocoa. Stir to blend.

4. Add gradually to eggs, beating all the time.

5. Melt butter in small saucepan and stir into batter.

6. Measure and add vanilla.

7. Chop nuts. Add to batter and mix lightly.

8. Pour into baking dish. Place dish in larger pan of hot water. Bake on middle rack in oven 45 to 60 minutes, or until firm like custard. Serve with whipped cream (optional). Makes 10 to 12 servings.
