CREAMY COLESLAW 
1 lg. head cabbage (about 4 lbs.), shredded
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. lemon juice
1/4 c. mayonnaise
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 c. grated carrots
1/2 c. diced green pepper

Place shredded cabbage in a very large bowl; sprinkle with sugar, toss just until mixed; cover. Chill 30 minutes.

Mix lemon juice and mayonnaise in a small bowl. Pour over cabbage and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Add carrots and green pepper; toss to mix well. Makes 8 cups.
