1 box German chocolate cake mix
1 (14 oz.) bag caramels
3/4 c. butter
1 c. chocolate chips
1 c. pecans
1/2 can condensed milk

Mix cake mix according to directions on box Pour 1/2 batter in 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees 15 minutes. Sprinkle chocolate chips and nuts over cake. Melt caramels, butter and milk and pour over chips and nuts. Pour other 1/2 of cake mix on top. Bake 20 minutes more.
